clear skin

Congratulations, you did it! All of your hard work and commitment has paid off and your skin is clear at last. Now your new goal is to keep it that way! Complying with the following points will help your skin stay as clear as possible. You have worked hard to get clear and you deserve to stay that way.

  1. Continue to use your home care products just as you have been using them throughout your treatment. This is critical and the single most important thing you can do to remain clear! Remember, acne is never cured, only controlled. It’s the faithful use of your products that will keep it clear and healthy.
  2. Stress is a key aggravating factor of acne. If you begin to break out again, assess your stress levels and be sure to get plenty of sleep.
  3. Drink lots of water and watch out for iodine-containing foods (kelp/seaweed, most salty foods, sports bars/drinks), avoid peanut products, and limit dairy consumption.
  4. Make sure to check the ingredients of any cosmetic or personal care products for the presence of acne-aggravating ingredients. Refer to the list in Lesson 6.
  5. If you start breaking out again (and you’ve been using your products consistently), let us know so we can adjust your routine as needed.
  6. Avoid using fabric softeners (liquids or dryer sheets).
  7. Avoid anything that creates heat or friction on the skin. This includes resting your face in your hand, wearing caps and visors, backpack straps, excessive use of hot tubs or saunas, etc.
  8. Wear your acne-safe sunscreen EVERY DAY. Reapply during times of strenuous outdoor activity or water sports.
  9. Remember that we’re always here for you! Just because your skin is clear doesn’t mean that you’re going it alone. We’re available to provide recommendations and advice anytime!

We would love it if you could give us a Google review. Your feedback helps others struggling with acne find us! Spread the word about your great results with your friends and family so that they, too, can enjoy the confidence that comes from having the clear skin they’ve always wanted.

  1. Hi- Ive been consistently using my products and my acne has been under control. However, recently I’ve been having consistent mild breakouts. They only thing that has changed is I have been weaning my daughter from breastfeeding and I assuming that is the cause. Would you recommend me purchasing another another consult? Or would you recommend me adding a peel or another product.

    1. Hi Kendra,
I am sorry for the late response. The best way to reach us is through the LiveChat feature on the website. As you stop nursing your hormones are going to be shifting and this can, indeed, cause breakouts. It may be time to bump your skincare protocol. I would check in with your acne specialist.
